Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti, derived from the masai word ‘siringet’ meaning endless plains that you can witness the annual migration that is one of the nature’s most awe-inspiring wonders. More than four million wildebeests as well as hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelle pursued by hungry predators, and also nowadays the masai tribe with their cattle, move northward in may or June to the masai mara in search of grass and water. Here they stay until December when they head south again back to the Serengeti. Before the main exodus, the herds are a spectacular sight a surging sea of animals.

Ngorongoro Crater

Often described as the ‘eight’ wonder of the world, Ngorongoro Crater is simply breathtaking. This collapsed volcano has crater walls of over 609 meters and floor area 323 kilometers that is inhabited by over 25,000 animals. Within this natural animal sanctuary, guests can see a microcosm of African wildlife : lions, buffalos, hippos, black rhinos, flamingos, wildebeest, zebra and impala. Other stunning parks in the area include Lake Manyara with its tree-climbing lions, hippos and flamingo- filled lake. Wherever you choose to visit, the Serena hotels can offer you a safari adventure that you will cherish forever.
